PERIL OF THE LEAPING STAG
By Rob Taylor

Nature Attacks!
For more than a decade The Leaping Stag tavern has been the stopping point for refreshments on the road between Wrathsea and Port Swinford. Last autumn, the tavern owner mysteriously disappeared, the tavern fell into disrepair and was swallowed up by encroaching vines and bushes. Now, months later, wildlife from the local peat bogs and woods is behaving strangely. Diseased animals have been attacking travelers, interfering with trade between the two towns.
What secrets were being hidden behind the doors of the seemingly friendly tavern? What happened to the tavern owner, and how is it connected to the sickness of local beasts and their recent attacks on travelers? How and why has a tavern, abandoned for only a few months, become buried under years worth of overgrowth?
With the local temples, merchants, farmers, and even the Duke increasingly concerned at the threat of infection and the danger to travelers, a brave (or foolhardy) group is needed to investigate The Leaping Stag and stop the growing threat to the surrounding area.
But with nature itself acting unnaturally, even reaching the tavern will prove a challenge for our heroes and, once there, they must uncover the mystery behind...
